Prof. Amarendra Kumar Sandra

Dr. Amarendra Kumar Sandra is a highly accomplished academician and researcher with extensive expertise in transportation engineering and civil engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, Rajasthan, completed in April 2008. He earned his M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, and TU-Darmstadt, Germany, in March 2003, where he was awarded the prestigious Dr. Shanker Dayal Sharma Gold Medal for being the best all-rounder and the Institute Silver Medal for being the department topper. He also holds a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, which he completed in May 2001. His strong academic foundation, coupled with his passion for research and innovation, has established him as a leading figure in the field of transportation engineering.

Dr. Amarendra’s professional career is marked by a blend of academic excellence and industry contributions. Over the last five years, he has successfully managed and completed more than 50 consultancy projects as a project manager and team member, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes. His technical expertise and ability to work on large-scale infrastructure projects have earned him recognition within the industry. In addition to his research and consultancy work, Dr. Amarendra has been actively involved in mentoring students and guiding them in their academic and professional pursuits. His commitment to education and knowledge-sharing has made him a respected figure among his peers and students.
