Prof. M. Lakshminarayana Rao is a distinguished academician, renowned scientist, and accomplished administrator currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Andhra Pradesh. With an illustrious career spanning several decades in teaching, research, and academic leadership, he has made significant contributions to higher education and scientific innovation.

Prior to joining RGUKT, Prof. Rao served as a Professor (HAG) in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, one of India's premier institutions. Throughout his academic journey, he has been deeply committed to advancing scientific knowledge and nurturing future generations of researchers and innovators.

Prof. Rao is internationally recognized for his pioneering research in organometallic chemistry, organic synthesis, and palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. His groundbreaking work involving triarylbismuth reagents led to the development of a new class of cross-coupling methodologies, widely recognized in the scientific community as the "Rao Cross-Coupling Reactions." These contributions have significantly expanded the scope of carbon-carbon bond formation strategies in modern organic synthesis.
